Sunquest Properties. Inc. is a real estate development and property management company specializing in the acquisition, development and management of market rent, govennment subsidized and tax credit apartments. The current portfolio includes forty properties consisting of over 3,200 units. Eighty percent of our properties are garden style apartments and the balance is individual dwellings of which some are lease to own. The majority of the properties are in Louisiana, with others in Mississippi and Texas. Well over half of the units managed are market rent apartments and over 300 of the affordable housing properties are designated for the elderly. The affordable housing units include participation in HUD Section 8, Rural Development (both rental assistance and interest credit) and/or Tax Credit programs. Sources of financing have included direct government loans, tax-exempt bonds, 221(d)4, 236 and 223(f) insured prograns, HOME, Conduit, Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac.

The property management portfolio of Sunquest is growing to meet the housing needs in Louisiana, Mississippi and Texas. Future developments include tax credit properties in Louisiana (nine) and Mississippi (two) to be completed by December of 2008. These properties comprise a total of over 500 units in addition to the ones mentioned above. Plans also include adding an additional phase of about thirty conventional units in the Monroe, Louisiana area where construction is already underway. Complete “rehabs” of several properties in Mississippi and Louisiana are scheduled within the next year to provide updated living accommodations to our residents while maintaining the investment of our owners.

Site personnel include field supervisors, managers, assistant managers, porters and maintenance staff (HvAc certified and other specialties). The Main Office in Monroe, Louisiana, employs twenty in varying positions including accounts payable, accounts receivable, compliance, staff accountants, development coordinators, etc. Sunquest offers a competitive employment package including optional health/dental insurance and a 401k retirement plan. Sunquest is owned by brothers, Ralph Brockman and Bill Brockman, who are also general partners through related entities of all but one property managed by Sunquest. Ralph Brockman has been active as a real estate developer and contractor for oves thirty-five years. Through related companies he has developed and constructed apartments valued in excess of one hundred million dollars. Bill Brockman is an inactive member of the Mississippi Bar Association, a licensed Real Estate Broker, and has been active in real estate for twenty years.
